Dodging the Community?

PCS is developing an unsettling pattern of excluding the community at large from key information.  In February, it was the special Facilities Forum.  Originally posted on their website and marquee, the event was canceled, relocated or rescheduled via a private email notice to parents only.  Community members showed up, only to find a darkened campus.

Fast forward to this week: The informative “PCS Under the Hood” event was scheduled for this evening, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  It has since disappeared from their website, presumably because they (a) do not want community members to attend, or (b) it’s another “under the covers” change-up, with accurate information provided only to those “members of the club”.

The Brown Act and Public Records Acts are very clear on this points.  Might be a good student project, that.
